The guys at Freeway Car Audio have generously allowed us the use of their facilities at their Dandenong store for Round 2 of Eclipse CAASQ Victoria.




This is a State Series sanctioned event in that points will be accrued towards the Victorian Series leaderboard.

The Eclipse CAASQ Competition will take place on the Sunday, May the 8th.

Freeway Dandenong have a large pit area behind the building with judging taking place in the workshop one car at a time.

Competitors MUST be at the venue by 10.00am (This is important)

It is compulsory in [CAASQ] competition to have a suitable fire extinguisher contained within the vehicle / boot to enter - This will be checked.

well, it doesnt really bother me, dandenong is a bit far simply to watch the event, i will have to wait for the next social meet

I think the date should be changed....it's mothers day and alot of ppl will want to see there mums. As we all know SQ days go ALL day so its not like we can do the comp then go see our mothers, and i think you will find alot of ppl wont make it for this reason. And is it fair on the guys competing that would love to be there but wont simply because there mother is more important.

ill be there reguardless...

doesn't matter for me that it's on Mothers' Day; i can see her afterwards.

changing dates could be a problem for me cos of work. the saturday 7 May is fine (and then we can continue having fun for Marc's b'day celebrations) but may not suit the store. the following weekend is a no-go for me cos of work interstate. then it's getting close to the next booked comp (which is on a bad date for me too anyway :evil: ).

so i'm happy with the 8 May or else 7 May.

sorry for being pushy but can we make a date soon? i have rehersal camp that weekend for my theatre company and at the moment that has not been payed for... but they are hastling me for the money... thanks

I'll be able to confirm the date once everyone has had a chance to respond, and I get to speak to Freeway. At the moment however, I would suggest that the date probably won't change.

It doesn't bother me if there is a NEED to to change it. IF you have to... do it.

Out of curiosity, do my amps need to be secured? As mine have been floating around my boot for ages. *Goes and checks rule book...

Messiest boot install goes to me for sure

from a 'safety' aspect - both in general and for comp - yes, they should be secured. each vehicle will undergo scrutinering, and it will be up to the judges' discretion as to whether they mark you down or not, let alone allow you to enter. if it's your first comp, they will usually give you a 'warning' and still judge your car; it's more about being sensible and having fun than cracking down on you.
