Hey guys, well what another fantastic event. The location was fantastic, the setup looked great, plenty of high profile cars and overall an awesome event.

Great to see many competitors improving with their scores.

Pictures will be up as soon as I can get them off Tiger, and the results and leaderboard will be updated as soon as they are forwarded to me.

Very sorry I had to leave early guys. Huge thanks to Marcel and Freeway Car Audio for fantastic trophies and hosting the event (at short notice also), and of course Eclipse for their awesome support, and not forgetting also Lotus, Eton and Phass for continuing to support CAASQ in 2005.

We look forward to future events as they simply keep getting better and better.
MADTRAV
thanks to Marcel and all the guys at Dandebong Freeway.
Damn, blowing a head gasket friday.team out now in phase had made major changes and noone got to hear 'em.
Great turnout and good to see new cars, hope it followes this path and grows, also nice to see some supplier's cars, just goes to show everyone's behind it guys.
nemesis
1.5 points in AS from first to fourth, now if that's not close then i don't know what is smile.gif
im dissapointed with my score after ripping everything out and rebuilding it again since Hektic, was hoping for another placing but not to be this time, i guess its more inspiration for the next event....damn half points! :hehe: and i think i should give up trying to compete with a completely stealth install now, no points in the class for it sad.gif

the event definately has a much more professional appeal about it now with eclipse in the mix, which is awesome to see, plus with the types of cars entering now and with the support of the retailers its great to be able to experience everything first hand...so c'mon bring on the next event
shiny_car
yeah, had a great day, obviously helped by my trophy successes. biggrin.gif

i too wish to thank Freeway/Marcel for hosting the event (incl BBQ and trophies), Eclipse for their sponsorship and goodies, other supporters and the fellow competitors.

the competition is sooo friendly, it's fantastic to see - and how it should always be - particularly amongst my fellow Class competitors. it was also great to meet some new competitors and i enjoyed demo-ing my car to those keen to have a listen, and i gained insight into other peoples cars and installation techniques.

some schmick systems/cars there, including the 3 demo vehicles - eclipse, alpine, RF.

thanks again to the judges, bruce and nick, for their tireless 'work' throughout the whole day, to marc, and last but not least, john, as the head chef! :thumb:

pity 'blankie' didn't make it in time for judging as i thought the 'imaging' in his car was superb and puts virtually all (incl mine) to shame, for what is really a very simple setup. just goes to show, keeping it simple can work trumps.

and 'nemesis': don't be disheartened. some careful tuning of the EQ/gains should bring your system way up to speed. we can catch up for a test and tune. biggrin.gif

Yes, It was a great day.
and all cars getting so close in the SQ points already....
good thing the judges give us a list of things to fix each time. wink.gif
Thanks to all who made the day a good success.
KLRBEE
Thanks guys, it was all worth the effort and the weather couldn't have been better. Great numbers (scores and amount of cars) despite some supposed hang overs and the fact it was mother's day. Catch you all next event! Big thanks to John (Tiger) for being chief cook and the suppliers that helped out, especially Damian and Dave from Eclipse.
Domza
Hey guys, just want to say thanks to Marcel and Freeway for hosting round 2 CAASQ, the trophies and prizes were excellent. Thanks to the judges and competitors for a great turn out. Demo vehicles were great. Thanks to Richard for giving me a demo of his truely remarkable sounding system, and to all who made it a great success, big thanks to sponsors.

[1st Place Amateur Show- Round 2 CAASQ- Freeway Car Audio, 8th May 2005]
Marc
Sunday the 8th May saw Round 2 for Victoria of Eclipse CAASQ Sound Quality competition at Freeway Car Audio in Dandenong. With fantastic weather, a great turnout, and demo cars, and representative from Eclipse in attendance the day was a complete success.
