Hi Ron,
You may know that German-made Rainbow have a superb reputation globally, but were really only known by enthusiasts in Australia for being amongst the most expensive car speakers around - until recently.

The SLX line are part of a very affordable range now (SLX230 5.25" splits are around $300 RRP) and compare very favourably with most premium brands... but best to have a listen and prove it for yourself. Call by anytime... we have several Rainbow models and othe premium brands in our demoroom.

Of course, the real secret to great car sound is not just good products, but also the car itself... again, best to call by so we can show you some options.

I bought a set of SLX 265 deluxes (of Precision too, cheers smile.gif) and couldn't be happier. Unfortunately I think my car or tuning abilities are holding them back.

That's where the fun starts mate, the never ending tuning options. Did you change your HU when you had the car at Precision?

Yeah went from none to an eclipse cd3100 biggrin.gif. I mean my abilities not the hardware, because they were able to make my dad's car sound great (with the standard HU alpine type rs and vpower amp) but I can't make mine as good (rainbows and coustic amp). So it might be that I don't have the knowledge to tune it well enough or it might be that the car just isn't as good for audio (82 vh commodore) as my dads one (02 vx commodore).
