Hey guys,

I have a slight issue with my head unit - The line in doesen't seem to be taking the input correctly; whenever I've got something plugged into it, you can only hear audio when the device plugged in and the head unit is turned up to full volume - And even then, it's very faint.

The head unit is a JVC KD-SHX705, and I'm still waiting a response from JVC support.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this, or have any suggestions on what's wrong, or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

try just plugging in one side (i.e. left channel) and see if that works better

also might be you're not connected to the line in, but the line out by mistake.

I've tried one channel at a time... Swapped channels... and the Line In is labelled with the normal factory label.

Only thing I haven't tried is plugging the input device in the output.

Any other ideas? smile.gif

might be broken
*shrugs*

Things like that usually just work - there's no magic to it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... I'll see what the JVC supplier says.

Thanks anyway!

On my Clarion, there is an option for Aux sensitivity - you can turn up or down how strong the input from another source is. If its an option on your head unit, it may be set too low... Just a thought wink.gif
