Hi i was just after some advice. I have the eclipse cd5000 looking at getting the eclipse cd7100.

My question is is there any major different between them? and if so what?
~Spyne~
what do u want the cd player to do that the cd5000 currently can't?

the 7100 can run a fully active three way system (fully variable xovers), and has more eq options (i think from memory both have time alignment)

just trying to see if it is worth changing it or not.

Depends how serious and picky you are about sound.

If you aren't that picky, and only intend on ever running a basic passive front stage - then i'd say no don't bother.

If you are very picky with your sound, want the absolute best in performance, and will consider going active in future - then i'd say yes, definately.

The extra tuning features could make a massive massive difference when used effectively, but if you aren't going to use them then there isn't any point in spending the extra cash.
