Hi There,
I'm after a good car alarm
I want one with the following
- Microwave Sensor
- Shock Sensor
Also would like to have a window lifter
And MUST meet Australian Standards (Black Wiring .........)
I'm looking at Mongoose atm but unsure whether or not they are any good
Also recommended installers would be great
Thanks,
Tien

Would a shock sensor go off if someone tried to jack my car?
I spoke to *** store and they said if someone tried to jack my car the shock sensor would go off same with the tilt sensor
Is that true? would that make the tilt sensor useless?

do it with a tilt sensor. if the car varies 1-3 deg off it goes. add paging to it and you will know when it happens.

SMS paging is good, not that expensive now.
A "pager" as such is a waste of money. They never work properly, poor range etc.
Spend the money on custom security. Some of my favourite tricks include:
Fuel solenoid - cut of the fuel supply - no thief ever thinks of this.
Handbrake / Park lock - Even a door lock motor does fine - lock the handbrake "UP"
Hide the alrm - it doesn't need to be under the dash right near the ignition!

been awhile but yeah i got my alarm fitted a few months ago
Thought I'd give you an update
I ended up getting the M80 with a few bits and pieces
No pagers or anything like that tho don't have the $$ for that stuff, not yet anyway
I have a question what is "Dome light supervision (optional)"? on the Mongoose M80 Page

I have an idea, that might relate to turning the interior(dome) light(s) on when you unlock the car, don't quote me on that though.
