Gday Mate Im from the Brisbane area. thanks heaps for that link good job theyve done, i got something to compare with now

I know car tunez can help but they are south of Brisbane I think so go into any local car audio store and ask for Dynamat.

The link shows the Toyota ute, I thought they had the surf on there but I was wrong.

I'm moving to Bisbane in Feb so I'm interested to hear how you went with your car so send me a PM when you finish it. smile.gif

Thanks buddy. i will give car tunes a ring. The ute on the link still gives me an idea how to attack it. would you recommend to do both inner and outer door skin or just something similar to the tacoma ute. will take some photos of the install as i go for you and let u know how much it improves. Wont be straight away though as i work up at cloncurry on a fly in, fly out job so i dont have much time when i home cause i got to do the whole (spend time with me not on your money pit) thing with the missus.

Mate gave Car Tunez a call. They are down at Labrador down the Gold Coast. They seemed very helpful. for a bulk pack of dynamat is $300 neat. Is this a good price.
Sotiri
Do both the inner and outer door skins for better sound.

$300 bucks is the normal price. You could maybe find it cheaper if you hunt around but consider this, Car Tunez will offer you great back up service on anything you need to put the system together and thats worth heaps in the overall scheme of things. All for the price of the bulk pack. The more people screw retailers down in price the less prone the retailer is on giving the buyer great back up service. Thats life.

Hey Guys,

Finally got myself 2 bulk packs of Dynamat Extreme to install into my Hilux Surf wagon. Going to start the job on wednesday. Just after a few tips on which way would be the best way to attack it and any installation tips (tools used etc.). What areas would be the most important to concentrate on. I am also using some 30mm thick sound proofing foam aswel to put in all the areas between panels etc. also going to put the foam on the roof aswel. Is it worthwhile putting the dynamat on the roof aswel. I would like to but see how much dynamat i got left.

Thanks
