Was wondering if anyone could help me with the JVC KD-DV4306. What does it output via video out (to an LCD screen) while you are listening to music? Or does it display nothing when you're not watching a DVD?

I've got an indash pioneer dvd unit and it displays this god awful blue screen that blinds everyone (and displays the track title at the top). It's so ugly 99.9% of the time i've just got the screen folded away and it's a bit of a waste tongue.gif

Was wondering if I could hook up a seperate (cheap) dvd unit to the video in and hopefully display something nicer on the screen when I'm listening to music.

Thanks for your help

This is the screen that comes up when playing an Audio CD (MP3)

If the LCD screen is a seperate one it should have more than one input so do what you said above and get a dedicated dvd player and plug both the head unit and dvd player to the lcd and just change the source on the lcd screen to whatever you want.

if your talking about the screen on the unit im not sure weather it will display anything else while playing a cd/dvd of music, if it can you will be able to change the source of the screen and the unit some how. i assume it would be mentioned in your user manual if you can do it. i don't think many units have this capability though.

cheers, Grant...
