Hi all,
I updated my VLC media player to the latest one yesterday, when I tried to open an episode of Top Gear, I had full audio, but the video image lagged and stuttered. I thought maybe I was running out of HD space, but I have nearly 150gb free. 2gb of RAM, on an XP machine.
So I downloaded an eariler version, as previously I had perfect quality video with VLC.. now NO matter what version I use, I keep the same problem, great audio and crape video.
Anyone suggest anything?

I have found klite codec pack and its media player classic better, as it plays some avi files that vlc wont
see here to download
klite . One of its features thats handy is the mouse scroll wheel controls the volume

+1
Been using that codec pack (the mega version) for years on 350+ desktops and laptops without a single complaint.

i use media player classic alot, there has been a few things it hasnt worked with, but nero showtime of all things worked.
i generaly use VLC for playing image ISO's of dvd's but it just wont work, even if i put the images into magicISO and run them it still wont play them properly

Thanks guys I will give it a go. I have a sneaky feeling its a RAM issue. Because, when I started closing down some programs, it improved. But the strange this was, I have normally had these same programs open with no problems.

Yeah, AVG scans everyday, so that should be alright. Plus I have Antispyware.
Thanks, for advise.
