I received news this morning that Oliver (Olie) from Millenium Car Sound in Victoria passed away yesterday.

We are unaware of the circumstances and unable to say anything more, but pass on our condolences to his family and friends at this time.

My dealings with Olie have only been brief over the years, but I know he's been around for quite a while and more than a few stories to tell.

Rest In Peace Olie.

Definately a bit of a shock when I heard the news earlier today.
Olie was definately a character and its sad to loose another "specialist" dealer.

I was in speaking to Olie late last week and he told me he was shutting the doors at least for a period due to ill health and was going for some surgery etc. Obviously all a little too late.
Olie was into 4x4s and the discussion about 4x4s seemed to out weight the conversation about audio a lot of the time between the two of us.

Olie did a fair amount of work for my family over the last nearly 10 years. Just odds and ends but enough to form a working relationship with him and it was always good to drop in on him unexpectedly and have a bit of a yarn.

Whilst he was never a big (pardon the pun) player in the specialist mobile electronics industry but he was in the industry a long time as was his father.

RIP big fella

I never knew Olie, or of him until now, but it is always sad to lose a fellow enthusiast in any pursuit ; be it cars or audio or both.
It's unfortunate that we sometimes only hear about people and their good work after they have gone, and I'm sure he will be missed.

Our condolences to Olie's family, friends and colleagues.

It was quite a shock this morning when Claire rang to tell me that Ollie had died, as previously mentioned Ollie had made plans shut down for a while, take it a little easier and improve his health, it was only recent that we sat and discussed the industry, its future and the changes he wanted to make in his life.

Apparently he had endured a few days of feeling less than average and rang Claire to ask her to come home from work, my understanding is that Ollie passed on shortly after, most likely in his sleep.

Ollie was a real character and despite some hard knocks from some of the industry he just refused to be kept down.

I am proud to have known Ollie and proud to say that he was a friend.

Our thoughts are with Claire and his family at this most difficult time.

RIP mate you will be missed.

I just got wind of this last week.

My first job in the industry was working for Millenium.

I worked there for 2 years, always sad to see someone go so young.
