Hey all,
After some advice from the wise again....

I currently have the R Type Alpine 12" in the car but its not enough.

Basically need some nudging in the correct direction for a good SQ sub with decent SPL, as the R Type, while good, isnt great if ya get muh drift.

I'm chasing a 4ohm 12" which can handle 600wrms at least, not out to win SPL comps but the R Type isnt loud enough (as a rough guide). Remembering SQ is most important here.

Have a budget of upto $1100 including a box, I have a V12 Alpine amp which produces 600wrmsx1 but would consider upgrading later if need be(wiring is upto the task already).

Would prefer it run in current box which is 1cu/ft as I need as much space as possible due to having 2 kids (pram etc etc). Car is a Late model Magna which has a decent boot, so as a maximum guide box could be upto 2cu/ft.

Other option is to run another 12" Type R and 2nd amp, whats peoples thoughts on this option?

Thanks for any advice/recommendations lads, much appreciated.

Cheers
Luke

RE SX 12"
DD 3512
ID MAX 12"
Boston G5 12"

Out of these, I believe the bottom 2 are good in smaller boxes.
All are under $1000, and all are good quality, good sounding, and can go loud.
There are also many more i'm sure some other people may suggest.

Good luck with it.

i would go the IDMAX or the boston.
i have listen to the MAX quite a few times and pretty impressed with it.
the boston from all i have heard is a big improvment in output over the old pro .5 series and a tad better sounding (it was always a damn fine sounding sub)
