It's not *his* fault it got stolen.
It is his fault that there was no deterrent(alarm) but all in all that *is*only a deterrent after all...

Exactly, it's supposed to be a deterrent, but if no one goes to check the alarm at the car park, then there is no point of the alarm being installed.- because most of the time car alarms that go off- are false ones.
Prevention is a better, ie/ detachable face.

I personally don't blame anyone who doesn't have an alarm in their car... Personal choice and most people wouldn't raise an eyebrow if an alarm went off in their street - happens so often. I've had my deck stolen 6 times before and there's no alarm that will stop a determined thief getting in. The thieves just better pray no-one catches them in the act, I wouldn't think twice about knocking them out cold and leaving them in the gutter. Hope you find the deck though - if they were amateurs they will probably try and sell it at 'cash convertors' on 'ebay' within a week.
