Hi All,
as the title says i have been trying to connect my PSP to my wireless network at home so i can access the interenet via the PSP. i go in to set up the connection and then when i try to connect my PSP can't make a connection. my wireless network doesn't have a password so its no a lack of password that has been hindering me from connecting and i have even tried turning off my firewall to see if that would work but to no avail. can anyone suggest a setting that could be active or inactive on my network that could possibly be stopping my PSP from connecting to my network? any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

So you've gone through and put in all the network addresses/ip settings and everything? And still no joy?
Though I know that I have tried to set up both my own and my cousins PSP's on my home wireless network, each and every setting was checked twice, all passwords everything, and no matter what it would NOT connect up, so I'm sorry to say I'm no help here.

Is your router compatible with the PSP ? Not all routers work

The basic settings that come to mind are the encryption and the MAC filter
Or the wireless protocol that you're using isn't supported by the PSP. I think it will only work with 802.11b
From memory ( and don't quote me on this ) the PSP supports WEP but not WPA. Try turning off the encryption completely to be sure.
if your wireless network has a MAC filter ( and it should ) , you'll need to add the MAC address of the PSP to the list of accepted MAC ids in the router. That MAC address is available in the PSP system settings I think

I do remember trying to connect my psp to the wireless network at school, it never worked

And yes the psp supports WEP not WPA. Dogo sounds like he's on the money, try what he's suggested!
