Hi all smile.gif

I'm gathering parts for my other car's system atm and since it's going to be a sunny days/weekend sort of car I'm concentrating on making it a comfortable and audio orientated interior... I have one SS amp now (TR880/2) and like the look of them - haven't used it yet as I only got it a couple of months ago. Thinking of getting another one (probably a 4 channel) but not sure if it will be up to the level of the Clarion HXD2 and scanspeak tweeters I've bought through some of the peeps on here smile.gif

Are they good sound quality or will I need to get something different? As long as they are a good amp I'll get another one I think but just after recommendations from those who've owned previously or have heard them used before...

I haven't bought speakers yet (going 3 way comps though).

haven't actually owned one of those shiny beasts myself, but i have owned other soundstream amps and i recon it would be good enough quality to keep up.

Cheers, Grant

P.S. Check your PM's, i need some postage details smile.gif

Thanks Grant smile.gif (pm replied to)
Hopefully I can fit more than one of these amps in the boot!

I don't like them personally. Nowadays I wouldn't touch Soundstream, the older series were good, but these are just pathetic.

Built and designed outside of Soundstream themselves, somewhere in the Asias. I wouldnt mind it if they were just built there, but the design is very poor too.

Again, just IMO.

Are you speaking of the newer Soundstream offerings or the huge chrome SS amps that I'm talking about Matt? I've heard the newish ones aren't as good as the old too.

You're talking about those garish chrome amps with handles on them yeah?

Cause so am I smile.gif

But what would you say if it was made it the US? I have a TR1600/2 and its one of the "huge chrome SS amps" its made in the US...?
sean
I personally don't have a problem where things are made as long as the quality is there!

I went for the Soundstream Class A 10.0 instead, thanks peoples! smile.gif
