Garmin is the best for back up service and quailty .They have 60% of the American market so they must be good .

Do yourself a favour DONT BY NAVMAN .There back up service is a joke they make optus look good and they have serious software issues.

Hi, can somebody please tell me more about the Garmin? Which model is it, and will it be compatible with Australia, and will it have aussie maps. I've only seen US ones, so not sure if it will work. Does anybody know how much they go for also, and how difficult it will be to install. I have a simple Pioneer screen that has AV ins (red, white, yellow) Is it as simple as using that?

Thanks

The pioneer models are coming out very soon.... I'd be waiting to see them before i got a indash.. they have 1 model designed to intergrate into existing screens and factory radios...

Big Bass - Navman don't have a Unit that plugs into a screen via RCAs so the response was not really called for. Navman are quite a good unit, more user friendly and value packed, just like Optus.

I would be more inclined to go garmin unit as. Nice unit.

The other option is to buy a unit that can accept a Navigation module - Kenwood screen with the nav module.
