For those of you who own/use-to-own a set of the pre-Be Focal Utopia splits, did anyone ever substitute a different set of tweeters for the standard TN-47/TN-52s?

Were you happy with the end result? (Active or passive?)

Any details would be great, particularly interested in anyone who swapped the standard metal dome tweets for silk dome ones...

Have heard of users using a supremo with them with good results. I can't remember who though.

I belive HypeSTI may have run a Supremo/Utopia combo a couple of years back, he may be able to
help you

Someone I know recently was telling me he had the same problem (Just a tad bright!).
He had tried changing positions, eq you name it, in the end I had a set of HT25 tweeters laying around so gave them to him to try.

He contacted me later and said it was a perfect solution and he was very happy.

The HT25 are a soft dome tweeter, around $145 at Hertz stockists.
