Hi all.
Need some help. I have a Nokia 6500 and a Pioneer HU (DEH-P8950BT). Most of the functions are working however when I go to transfer the Phone Book from the phone, the blue tooth disconnects and the HU just sits there doing nothing. Are there any remedies for this? Would appreciate the fix.
Regards
Darren

The phone book transfer only works with some phones and Nokias aren't one of the phones it works with... I'm not sure which phones are compatible to transfer the phone book though.

Does it still allow the phone to connect to the head unit be be used in a bluetooth way?
KGB
99.9% sure it would, its just the phonebook transfer that has an issue. There's no problems with my wifes nokia and the BT on my Pioneer.

Without sounding like an idiot, whats the problem with the phonebook? Doesnt it load up the names and numbers or something?

With some phones, you can transfer the contents of the phone's phonebook to the head unit's memory, so then you can scroll through the names and numbers with the head unit.

When you go to transfer the phone book and the phone and headunit disconnect the unit
is waiting for input from the user.
Basicly once the units have disconnected you have to transfer your contacts using the phone. Just like sending a business card via bluetooth.
The unit is just waiting for you to send it information from the phone.
The reason it disconnects is because it can't have two active bluetooth links at once.
So you can't have the phone connected for the phone function ( if you can follow that) while you are transfering phone book data across.
