Hi everyone
I have an Toyota AE86, want to install a clarity system base on Vocal and Classical music. The budget is around 3000. (A 10" LCD will be installed when the time I retrim the car which will be later on)
I have decide to use the following
Headunit: JVC33VX/ JVC44VX / or your favourite advice
Front Speaker Only : Focal 165 K3P / Dynaudio 342 / or your favourite advice
Amp: Alpine PDX2.150 / Not sure which one will be a combination with the speaker ?? (or using my Kicker ZR360, but are they not meet the clarity level as they are a sub amp??)
Due to the door have not fitted with speaker b4, I think have to save a bit of money for the installation cost.
Please help me, if you have any good idea.
Please advice if you know some shop can purchase and professional install the system for me.
Thanks
Antonio

i would go
Alpine DVA-9861E RRP $899
Alpine PDX-4.100 RRP $699 or something like Eclipse, DD etc a 4 channel for the fronts (run them active)
Boston Acoustics G2 - 10in or 12in $349 and $399
then some Cresendo Opus Speakers (

that will leave you with enough money for cables etc
use your kicker for your sub and you have one hell of a bangin SQ system!!

I cant remember the rear seat situation in the AE86, but if there arnt any, or they arnt used much, keep the stock speakers back there and run them from the built in amp on the new head unit you buy. Hell, im not running any rear speakers and love it (94 Supra).
Headunit: I love the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X991, but the x990 is essentialy the same thing for $100 less.
Speakers: Depending on your budget and other component choices, I would go with the Focal 165VR's powered by the Focal FP2.75 or the JL 3/200. The other option is to go with Focal 165K2P and the JL 300/2; this is the better option in terms of sound quality ( I would suggest the focal 2.150 amp, but its a ton more expensive and the JL 300/2 is a proven quality amp)
Subwoofer: JL subs are great. judging by your first post you arnt in to an insane amount of bass (like myself). I went with the JL 10w3v3-4 ("-4' denotes the 4ohm model. 2ohm is the standard, but my amp was a little too powerful for the 2ohm model) powered by the Alpine pdx 1.600. This combo has EXCELLENT response and really good sound quality even when turned down lower. If you are listening to something that just needs a lot more down low, this setup can pump out a surprising amount.
