im in a blunder and these are the subs available to me. eclipse is abt 230 with box and the VDO is 120 wiht box? which is better in SQ? is it worthwhile payin an exrta 110? anyhelp is apprecited THANKS!

u know i hang out in the local store all the time, and i push down on woofers all the time too, its just a habit now , anyway gueess what i was looking around and i saw eclipse alloy cone model, one of the new 12" and i started messing with it and it really suprised me how easy it was to push down in terms of evenness and smoothness and i pushed it down a far bit.
The shop dont have alot of high end subs laying about , but this sub really was a nice sub.proberly sounds good too,lol

VDO HPS is a great SQ sub, and is very efficient, will work off 100-400W easy, and gets quite loud.

Though if you have more power say 500-1000W the eclipse will suit better, as the HPS gets quite loose with more power than 400W.

I would say, depends on how much power u have, and also note that the VDO only comes in single 4ohm
