just wondering if a dates been set for it this year yet. if clint, angelo or marc have any idea of a date that its going to be on this year.

is it still planned for October like the same as the previous 2 years.

just wondering as i havent seen a date posted for it on dbdrag.com.au yet thats all.

yes i know its early but, i always love to plan ahead for this event, as im sure alot of us do LOL.

I don't think MEASQ will be running a finals event in Wagga this year. It's held in Wagga to try and accomodate other states, but lack of interest and support will probably mean we'll do a more local event this year.

I assume the dB Drag Finals will still be held in Wagga however.

the one year I move to canberra...

I've already put forward that I can supply venues in NSW trism ... have been waiting to be contacted by anyone in NSW to organise.
The only person I have had phone calls with is VIP318 for organising an event or two in ACT.

Local as in Victoria? What about the QLD'ers?
There's no lack of interest from us up here, we are keen to travel down again this year.
In saying that I feel Sydney would be a dandy place to hold the finals Both SQ and dB Drag.
I kinda get the feeling that there is a lack of interest for Wagga cause it's in the middle of bumphuk no-where.

I do tend to agree Brad, and am more than open to suggestions.

If there's enough interest, of course we'll run an event. It's the social highlight of the year.

thats it brad sydneys half way between QLD and VIC basically.

sydney would be a good location for finals if we could get good enough venues to hold finals and presentation.

but anyway yeah agree with marc its the social highlight of the year. ya cant have SQ and dbdrags titles seperated. its the only time in the year both fractions from the different states meet up chat party ect. and have a great time.

Having said that, Angelo and dB DRA have links to Wagga, so I can't see the dB Drag finals moving however.

thats true also. but i remember talking to angelo breifly last year about the possibility of us getting a 4x dbdrag event like they did last year for world titles at different locations around the world and that he was going to see if we would be included as one of the locations if they did it again this year and it may be run in sydney.

i dont know if anything further had been discussed between wayne and angelo if it is eventuating or not but ya never know.

We have a mob of WAers who are keen to show up for this (not to compete obviously) so the sooner we know the better

Ange will be back Tuesday night from Gold Coast, will ask him Wed.. he hasn't mentioned it to me about Wagga.

i spoke to ange at autosalon about it. he said it will be on, he is working on a venue so that we can run it as part of the world finals.so we need a good internet setup.the only down side is we will be running at like 3am, at least it won't be hot.as soon as he knows something he will let us know.

As far as I know the date for Wagga will be Saturday 11th October and at this stage it will be in Wagga

I can now confirm the SQ national event will not be at Wagga this year. We're hosting our event in Canberra in November (see MEASQ forum for details).
