im trying to login into hotmail from work
but they a ban on the site
is there any way around this?

Most likely they have some software such as Surf Control blocking sites that are not work related. If there is a way around it i would imagine it is near impossible. I could be wrong...

Web proxy's i 'think' your after.
But most blocking software will filter these too

Try searching for 'Anonymiser'.
At home that is, because they've probably blocked that keyword as well.
When it blocks, does it come up with the name of the filtering system it's using?

I dont think that they would allow a remote connection but its worth a shot.

Depends.
If it uses, or you can select it to communicate over port 80, then there should be no problem.
Of course, it leaves your PC open to easy hacking.
Then again, the chances of that are extremely low.
