Hello,

I had two remotes for my central locking/immobiliser system and both arnt working now. Its not the battery because they have been changed. Is there a way to identify the signal frequency and get them replaced or is there any other way to fix them?

Thanks
sean
So the solenoids aren't dead or jammed? No noises like they are 'trying to work' but can't I guess?

Sometimes if your door gets water in it after heavy rain the water stuffs up the circuit (completes the circuit). Usually on older cars though.

If it's just a cheap aftermarket unit from JB HI FI then maybe it would be easier to replace the whole setup than try to get new remotes (tried the manufacturer?). Jaycar sell individual solenoids too if that's what it works out to be.
