There are quite a few rules regarding the sub box and what class you get put in.

In particular the 'window line rule' which states the enclosure isn't allowed to be higher than the front windowline of the car or shall be deemed a wall. The enclosure must also be behind the 'B' Pillar of the car to be legal. You can remove back seats or put your box ontop of them but you will be placed in Street Max or above. Box in boot and under window line will usually keep you in the lower 'Street' classes but there are also factors not based on enclosure.

cheers for that charger... if i was to place my box on the back seats and it didn't protrude past the window line doses that stl count for street b?? I've got a 3 door excel so it will stil be behind the last opening door??

You'd have to have the box behind the rear seats, with them able to be fully locked into place to be able to compete in Street B. As Charger said, you'd be in Street Max or above by having them on your rear seats.

ok so my box must be in the boot.... can i have my seats folded down?? sorry to be a pain guys, I have read the db drag racing rules in one of the stickys but due to being green to all of this quite alot of it dosn't make sence... ever since i entered my first comp at autobarn capalaba, the bug has bitten and now i want to push my equipment as far as i can go... lol i guess thats the same as everybody else....

I might try to make it down to cartunes 2morrow and pick some more brains if people don't mind....

Ask away! It keeps the forums active which is good exercise for our brains tongue.gif

Yes you can fold your seats down for your run, providing they can be folded back up and 'click' into place without being interfered by enclosure/amps/batteries etc..

It's good to see that even in a competitive arena so many people willing to help others better their systems... I was blown away by the team manual shed boys the other nite, i was competeing agaisnt them and they were still willing to help me out... (that being said i did have a hope against them)...

Cheers charger Rad and team manual shed for making me feel welcome....
