Ok i got the first SPLX 124 12" out of 2. When i wire them how will i go about doing it

The amp is 1,2,4 ohm stable. And each Sub is Quad 1 ohm.

wire one voice coil pos to another voice coils neg. then leave the pos and neg that isnt hooked out of those two voice coils, to wire upto the amp. like you would for a dual voice coils sub.

do the same to the other two voice coils.

then wire the two positives that are free together at the amp and the two negatives that are free together at the amp.

this will give you a 1ohm load at the amp.

if you dont get what i mean. let me know and i will draw it and wack a picture up for ya.

cheers billy

Thats for one sub. You wanted 2 subs right?

If so you could do what was said above and then connect the two subs in series(+ of one coil to - of other coil, then connect the remaining + and - to the amp ) to give a 2 ohm load.

I think thats right. Someone to confirm... (too many + and - lol)

apologize the pic isnt the greatest

if your using two quad 1ohm coil subs, just wire it as if it was 4x dual 1ohm coil subs.

there isnt many diagrams around for duaq coils as they arent the most common thing that people buy.

see pic below cheers

Also what would be the best thickness of cable to use for 1500w rms to the 2 subs @ 750 each.
Billy 79
8awg cable, overkilll is never a bad thing. but you can easily get away with smaller if budget is a factor
Moey
8awg?

I wouldnt recommend anything smaller than 4awg..

EDIT: Oops, sorry was thinking u were talking about the power wire lol. My bad.
Billy 79
LOL moey.

Grr 8 gauge nearly fits but won't plus with that wiring diagram some of the terminals i would need to fit 2 cables in lol. So if 8ga "just" don't fit would 12ga or something be better?

Moey
Use the biggest one that you can fit.
