I had one of these fitted today by the boys @ Hektik Car Audio and I must say I'm most impressed with this new technology from Viper.
They've done away with battery draining LCD screens on the remotes, and replaced them with a funky tech looking remote with concealed LED's. They're still 2 way giving feedback on what is happening with the car, and you can even drive a demister output with the remote start. Then on your remote, you can check the cabin temp!

Sounds a lot like a plug .... but I'm more than impressed. You can drive a heap of outputs, and from my remote I can pop my back tail glass open, open the fuel lid, turn my spotties on and heaps more. Great alarm.

what type of car is it fitted to?
Marc
'01 Nissan Pathfinder, so it's CANBUS features were not taken advantage of obviously. But I'm led to believe you just pop a cover off the module itself, and can drop other modules in depending on what application.

I have the old LCD screen viper remote, and yes the battery running out all the time is annoying - Good advancement in that regard smile.gif

To be fair, I would suggest anyone getting things installed such as an alarm by professionals should use the MEA approved dealers list. This particular thread makes me feel its my duty to emphasise this.

Enjoy your security smile.gif
