Hi guys,

Got another question... I have searched and read everything i could find...

Please let me know if i have this wrong... (I know you would neways... tongue.gif )

I have a 500w mono and a 340w 4ch..

total of 840w

To calculate currnet draw you divide watts by volts??

840/ 14.4 = 58.33333333

Does this sound right??

it seams ok as i have a 60amp fuse and i don't blow it even when doing stoopid things like playing with the gains...

This is the first question in a few, I'm evaluating my power system and trying to find the best way to upgrade without spending cash... I know i need to upgrade the batt but i'm looking at everything cabling... Just trying to understand what is going on with the system..

Cheers Guys

Don't forget no amp is 100% efficient so you will need to take that into consideration when calculating power and current draw.

This thread should help out a bit, it's actually a pretty good read both what Shiny and DD Phil have to say, so if you haven't read it definately give it a gander.

So yea, you had it right, but as charger said you need to take the amplifier efficienty into account.
