ok so i go to log onto msn/hotmail tonight and i cant......have exhausted all the useless help features of ninemsn....sent 2 "help" emails - one to hotmail, one to msn, tried to send one to msn live but got linked to some download site so that didnt worki have a second email that i am using in the mean time but would really like to sort out my current issue as its going to be a huge PITA to set up a new accountanyone with any ideas.....id really appreciate it

So, someone has guessed the answer to your secret question, or something (don't use Hotmail), and hijacked it?
Or does it say that your username no longer exists?

yeah it says it doesnt exist.....but also isnt available when i try to create a new email

I just tried to log into my girlfriends account and had the same error.
Maybe it's a temporary service outage?

basically i had linked a different account with my hotmail a few weeks ago.....and i found out that i could access my hotmail account through the linked account

so i reset my password (couldnt do it the "question" way cos it was asking me the wrong question) and now its all good to go - woo
