Heres a little tutorial i made up a while ago and uploaded all the links my self! All Links should be working fine now! Hope this helps out a few people! Excuse the spelling as well smile.gif

Australian Maps - Australia Maps

Map monkey - Map Monkey

Map monkey Update - Map Monkey Update

free drive - Free Drive

Free drive update - FreeDrive Update

Australia Speed Camera - Speed Camera Sites

Fairly easy to download the links, just follow the sets and you should be alright.

Now first download is the Aussie maps the destinator 3 model ones.

MAP MONKEY INSTALL SECTION -

The Second link is the main program that i use, map monkey. Once you have run the installer, then run the update which is the 3rd link above. Then extract the Aussie maps to

C:DestinatorAppsDestinatorAustralia. (This is where i have my map monkey installed, should matter where you put it as long as the aussie maps are in the destinatordestinator section. And also in a folder like the London section)

Now if you run the program you should see maps for London, we will change these a bit later but have a look around while your here. Now we move into Free drive

FREE DRIVE INSTALL -

4th Link is the main free drive program that you use, 5th link is an update for free drive. Now once you have installed free drive again like map monkey run the update after you have installed. To run this update just drag the .exe in the update folder to

C:Program FilesFreeDrive.

NOTE - I havnt used this program. Main reason why i have installed this was to update the destdll.dll.May sound silly but this is a cracked version that will allow us to use Aussie maps, so whether or not you want to use free drive i recommend to install it anyways so that map monkey runs fine and runs the maps we want. I think that you can install this and then uninstall it to keep the destdll.dll without the full program if your tight on space, not 100% sure thought havnt tired!

SETTING UP MAP MONKEY - Theres alot of tweaking etc that you can do in here, But ill only show you the basics, First up in enviroment tab, about half way down i always set to automatically reconnect gps signal if lost. Then for a basic setup i don't worry about anything else until i get to the adv.gps tab.
Now here is where you have to setup the port number that your gps antenna/receiver is connected to. If you know it, set it to the same number that it is on your pc.
IF not use the auto detect option.

If you would like speed camera alerts you will have to change the database to Australia. Now there is more up to date .txt file somewhere on mp3car.com or here on (note ive now uploaded my csv file for map monkey which is an up to date speed camera file). Now i don't worry about any more of the settings. Of course you can play round at your pleasure.

CHANGE MAPS FROM LONDON INTO AUSSIE - Now once you have configured your map monkey software and you have clicked ok, mapmonkey will open itself up. Once thats done go to Menu, Switch Map and if you have installed the maps right there should be an australian option. Once you have clicked ok that should be it. Congrats you now have an up and running gps software for nothing.
