Hey guys, not much of a poster, I hope this topic is in the right section too, I couldn't see any better place to post it...anyways.
I have a Holden VK in my shed, wanting to be painted. All the body work has been done, it's fully stripped, interior, exterior. Only the engine remains. It's also...I think its called Etch primed? Well its all grey anyway. I was looking for a place around (Kingaroy, Toowoomba, Brisbane) Anywhere close to those areas for a good quality but affordable paint job, probably asking for alot these days eh? I was just wondering if anyone had any particular place they go for this sort of work, just looking for a place and a rough estimate.
Thanks,
Steve

I am not in Brisbane about 4 hours away but to give you a rough idea on cost i had a vp holden commodore wagon that i had painted. It cost $5500 for the exterior this included all rubbing back etc and the fitting and painting of a vx clubsport bodykit.

Uhh perhaps you didn't read my post. All the works done and no body kit will be required. But thanks, who did you go through for that?

Most decent shops will charge 5-6 grand for a decent paint job.
If you hadnt had most of the work done it would be 10k odd.
Problem is finding a shop that will be prepared to do the paint on a car that they dont know how well the prep has been done.
The paint can be applied the best in the world but if the prep is not 100% the paint will never be right.

Ok, thanks for your input. Perhaps I'll stick to my original idea and paint it myself. (dad knows how apparently.....lol)
