also, as an extra note, the car that won last years IASCA (or whatever the SQ format in the US is these days) actually ran all PDX amps..... go figure...

I too have seen his comments on various other forums and i have to say..... absoloute DRIBBLE comes out of his mouth, i cannot say i have read such bulls**t in long time.

I have been in the industry for over 20 years now and can honestly say i have forgotten more than Cluetin knows...... your own arrogance will be your biggest downfall, maybe you should shut up for a while... learn a bit then discuss what you know to be fact not your immagination.

mate i dont know all things about car audio and i dont work at ,wow or northfield
but i like alpine it sound pritty good. i dont really like focal cause it seems kide of harsh

WOW, now i have heard everything, option audio are the best speakers autObarn sells???? so option audio is better than the morel elate signatures in the window at capalaba, and better then the polk sr6500 signatures, hertz mlk165 etc the list goes on,

well after a much needed and great holiday i am back home 4:30am this morning after 11 straight hours over night it was nice to get into my own bed again.

after such a great week its a shame to have to come back home.
from it starting off as monsoon rains up there. to great awesome hot days, partying heaps at various clubs through the week. and doing every theme park while we were up there.

then on to autosalon which was a top day started off hot and sunny and then a nice cool change to overcast for improved reading for the afternoon.

since the event has finished and the next day i realised it wasn't my amps out of phase it was actually a sub wiring problem. before i left for QLD i quickly installed the subs tested them on 2 amps which ran fine so i left.
now for the problem that arrose in QLD. when i disconnected 2 of the subs from one pair of amps to hook upto the other 2 amp. i never realised when i rushed to get the sub in before i left. that 2 of the subs werent wired to the speaker cables right.
1 possitive from one sub was hooked to the possitive of the speaker wire.
1 negative from the same sub was hooked to the negative of a different speaker wire.
this occured for 2 subs. so when i hooked all 4 amps up 2 of the subs were running half and half over the 4 amps.
if it dont make sense basically 1 possitive went to 1 pair of strapped amps. and the negative from that sub went to the other strapped pair.
NOT A GOOD THING TO DO.

but all in all with that major problem it still managed a 161 not to shabby for the little BARINA that travelled 2500+km over the past 11 days.

it was good to meet some new faces and catch up with some old. thanks always goes out to angelo and his father for making the trip up also. so we can have these events. and i look forward to sydney in 2 weeks. and thanks to all who attended to make the event as good as it was.

and thanks to sandra george and the family for putting on such a good evening after autosalon. and brad for the venue to have the great BBQ. i sure cant wait to come again sometime and catch up with everyong again.

and when i have the chance i will upload some photos from the event.

My favorite comment on the NissinSilvia link was probably the supposed low item return for warranty claims on Sony HU's, my reply would be maybe because 99% of the HU's they sell are probably in the sub $150 range and most people probably just chucked em when they f***ed out lol...

And I wonder who the source was for that info, no way it'd be a biased Sony rep........nooooooooooooo not at all.

Bhahaha i love the sony comment.... i sell sony gear at work and ive been to a few sony rep nights, and they seem to say it about their deck every time... Not once have we sent a sony deck back... everytime they just get smashed... not worth any sort of postage.
