Hey I have a small cabin honda crx and i'm putting a sound system into it. I am wondering where the best locations for 2 sets of component speakers would be. There will be one front, and one rear.
According to my research the ideal location is to have the tweets pointing at the ears of the listener at equal distances away. The rear tweets should be slightly higher than the front tweets.
My problem is that if I dash mount them they will have harsh reflections off the glass windshield and I'm not sure if door mounting them (facing in) will sound good.
The drivers are digital designs 6.5 components.
Thanks for the help!

the stock mounts in the front doors are good, especially when loaded to the hilt with dynamat. The sail panels are the typical place, although there's enough space for a good bit of experimentation on the A pillars I reckon. grab some blutac, experiment with positions, yadiyadiyada...
butchering a couple of holes deep into your dash and building a waveguide would be great, but highly impractical, which is a pity
I'll keep you posted if I think of anything more...

I wouldnt mount them in the doors.... as you'll have a lack of midbass unless you put dynamat in the doors but whats the point in having a crx if you going to lower the resonate frequency.
Id place mids and tweets in the kicks....
you can try the A-pillars or the dash but if this crx is being used in spl for db drag that could aslo effect what class your in.
With the rear speakers just stock location will be fine. Remove the clear sheeting from the grills of the rear and make some spacers that could include the tweeters.

thanks for the ideas, I'll mount the tweets in the a-pillars and the woofers in the doors with loads of dynamat.
