I've been looking for the same thing (single DIN nav unit). We've got an AVN6000 in the rex but the focus will only fit single din sad.gif

Go to your local audio shop... I think that some dvd units can be retro-fitted with GPS but they have to be controlled with an RF remote ie: no touch screen for GPS... You might be able to get one that is a single DIN that has a slide-out screen and do this with it...

I have the AVN6000 by Eclipse which is a double DIN and it is a superb unit, can't complain... but if you're not too clued up on how to install one, get someone to do it for you because it has a pile of wires on it and you also need to connect to some critical wires on your car etc. if you stuff it up, it could mean more than just a blown fuse, you could be in NOOB trouble laugh.gif

herd a rumour pioneer was making one for the last 1/4 of this year with a 7" screen and gps built in, usb also........

As far as i know the only one avalable is the kenwood... ktv693 and garmin knag100?? the screen alone has a breakout box, then you put the garmin box under seat...

The pioneer is going to be a double din or a standalone screen/ nav combo that will interface with factory hu and give preouts... looks good for ba series falcons....

^^ i herd that there not making the avic-hd3 anymore and that there's a single din being released to replace it. (not sure how true that is though)

That would be on the top of my wish list if it were true smile.gif

It might even be able to interface with my factory steering wheel, i know some pioneers can smile.gif

Pioneer is bringing out a double din AM/FM/CD/DVD unit. Plus, full=speed ipod, usb, bluetooth and Nav all in one. Is about to be released.

We have been using the Alpine IVA-D106 with the new HiTV Naviplus navigation box. This system allows full use af the Alpine touchscreen to control the HiTV nav.

Towards the end of the year Alpine will be releasing a portable nav system that will dock with their indash screens and bring up full touchscreen navigation with 3D mapping showing 3D buildings and trees etc. Looking forward to this unit.

I played with pretty much that exact system the other day at Stylyn Bentleigh (trav called me up to check it out as he knows its what I've been after).

Works AWESOME. Without taking the car for a drive its hard to comment on the mapping - though the mapping if provided by NavTeq so it should be the ducks guts. The way the HiTV NaviPlus unit integrates with the Alpine touch screen is brilliant.

Best thing about it for me is that can also do offroad maps.

Oh yeah I too cant wait to see the alpine unit - but I'll still stick with the HiTV unit because of the offroad mapping
