Hi All
new to the forum
I have an eclipse avn6000 with the Whereis Maps DVD - I have been told that the red light and school zones etc information is on the DVD but the eclipse avn6000 will not read it.
I dont understand why? is there an alternative?
I have spoken to Eclipse in Melbourne they were not interested in my situation -
I replaced a TomTom 910 and yes I realise that I have a lot of other features but these early warnings are nice to have considering the amount of driving I do.
cheers

dealers cant do anything, regardless of the make (brand), all dvd/cd based navigation systems to the best of my knowledge do not support speed cameras and school zones...
if speed cameras are important to be listed on navigation units, people should re-think why they have a license for... want to speed, do it on the track...

ease up george.
School zones would definately be benificial. Often you can come into a school zone without realising it.
Red light cameras - well yeah if you need some GPS telling you not to go through a red light then you need to rethink

I agree with you Kirk, school zones are a must for anyone on the move.
Our lives have become way to busy with internet, telephones, etc, etc and we don't pay attention to the day to day things like driving safely. All memory stick based nav units should have school zones and speed/red light camera's listed.
