my girlfriend has just started getting into it a bit. She picked up a Nikon D80 the week before last.

I'll have to stir her a bit and get her to put a couple up here. Still playing with it but yeh, she's very keen.

*raises hand*

i am... altho not a pro just yet.. using a Fujifilm S9600..
had a basic point&shoot camera and did a few "photoshoots" with mates.. and got pissed off with the poor features so went out and bought the fuji after many chats with camera mates (wldvt2 is 1 person).. and didnt want to go full DSLR just yet until i learnt the basics...

some shots i've taken over time... (starting with the old camera)

new camera shots below..

awesome shots damo!

I need to learn to use my D70s better.

I should go do a course as im all self taught so far
Damo95
thanks kirk...

it all gets better with practice... i realised for night shots, i MUST use a tri-pod, and use the "A" setting to adjust the light intake..

and i'm also self taught.. smile.gif
~Sparkles~
Tripods definately make things easier.

Unfortunately even with a tripod my photos are often blured because of the amount I shake (for those of you who dont know me - i shake like a crack baby) even just pressing the button can be enought to blur the image. Remote and a good flash are my next investments. Though I'm on the lookout for a sub $400 D70s or D80 body only to give to Kel

have you tried setting a timer?

i find that a 2sec timer helps immensely also.... but remote lead is handy!
~Sparkles~
Yeah but its a PITA on the Nikon. you have to reset the timer each shot. you cant just set it to timer mode and go. Bit like my old Konica-Minolta Z2

I suppose I have more than a passing interest in photography. I have a 30D and just added a couple more lenses to my collection - a Canon EF 70-200mm F4 and a Canon 50mm F1.8 Prime. Both are terrific lenses - I especially like shooting with the 50mm prime, I think every photographer shooting cars should have one!

Here are a couple of more recent shots I've taken:

My VE SS at sunset

Mining Sunset

Cricket

Motorcross

Here are a couple of my favourites. I like photography, I just dont have any good equipment.
These were taken with a point and click.

some nice shots there chris
I have recently purchased a better camera than my old kodak but still nothing too flash, i just have to learn how to use it now, a tripod is certainly on the cards tho
TUN35
Some nice shots in here folks smile.gif
data_mine: That first shot is quite nice. The ones with the lighting on the wall are really distracting, but I like the concept!

Some recent ones of mine.
