Hello all!

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce that the latest shipment of SPL DYNAMICS gear has arrived and is available for sale in Australia.

We now carry the XTR Series Subwoofers, which come standard with reinforced Carbon Fibre cones and heavy duty baskets.

Each XTR Series Subwoofer will be at home in a conventional mounting application, or inverted to display the polished chrome finish of the motor assembly.

The XTR Series includes:

XTR-250D2 - 10" Dual Voice Coil 2 ohm - rated at 600wrms (1200w max) - selling for $350

XTR-300D2 - 12" Dual Voice Coil 2 ohm - rated at 750wrms (1500w max) - selling for $400

XTR-380D2 - 15" Dual Voice Coil 2 ohm - rated at 1000w (2000w max) - selling for $450

Also to hit our shores are the heavy hitting HF Series 6.5" Components. Composed of the 6.5" HF-6.1 woofer, and the 1.1" HF-1.1T Silk Dome tweeter. These Components are specially designed to be used in demanding car audio systems, such as 'Full Active' systems.

Each of the 6.5" woofers are rated at 3 ohm impedence, can handle 100wrms (200w max), and are fitted with a large 3" Voice Coil for efficient cooling. (Same size voice coil of most 15" subwoofers!). The 1.1" Silk Dome tweeters are rated at 60wrms (120w max) and feature powerful neodymium magnets, and a neat mounting kit for flush, angle or surface mounting.

We look forward to putting them through their paces, with some heavy testing of these tough little units.

HF-6.1 + HF-1.1T Set (No Passive crossovers) - $230

HF-6.1 (Woofers only) - $180

HF-1.1T (Tweeters only) - $50

To further extend our range of audio products we also carry the new SD Series Component sets. These slick and sensibly priced kits come complete with passive crossover networks, all wiring hardware, and a mounting kit for flush, angle or surface mounting the tweeters.

The SD-6.2 Component set features the 6.5" SD-6.1 woofers that incorporate a heavy duty die cast basket and a slick silver one piece, unmarked cone, with rubber surrounds. Also included is the 1" SD-1.1T Silk Dome tweeter with neodymium magnet. Rated at 80wrms (160w max) the SD Series Components will complement any build or system.

SD-6.2 Set - $150

Pictures will follow as soon as I unload the camera!

Thanks,

SPL Dymanics Australia.

That's some awesome looking gear mate ... congrats on the new arrivals.

Wish you the best of luck getting some out there into the marketplace.

very nice looking equipment you have there

mmmm
Poisoner
yummy how deep are the 6.5's
mad89
I went and had a closer look at some of this gear yesterday and was quite impressed. Those subs speak for themselves, theyre just monsters! Simple, no bullcrap design and they look - and feel - tough as nails. The pictures dont do the motor assembly and basket any justice at all. They would look awesome as part of any install, but id probably invert them tongue.gif

The 6.5" look great aswell. I like the unique basket assembly. Theyre pretty deep at 67mm according to the website. Im keen to whack a set of the mids in my car and see how they go as dedicated midbass drivers. Adam? tongue.gif hehe

9500 series, that's a big call, not that I am sucking upto any particular brand in any way. Just by looks and specs alone, and just off the stick I'd compare it closer to is the Audioque HDC3 series. The 9500 series motor looks much larger, although the SPL Dynamics has a good looking cone construction.

Yes i do realise this but considering Andu spent count less hours on that sedan and he also had more power but i would never take it away from Andu his hard work paided off for him in that car but considering i have only competed twice with this set up and i have increased every comp i dont think they are doing to bad.
DD Phil
Nothing against you Leo, but if importers are going to promote their product and claim that:

Then they really need a lot more than your 154 to back up that massive claim.

Before we start pounding our chests I will endevour to back up our claims with figures.
But i also believe that Leo is getting some 9515's so it will be good to do a back to back test with the woofers.
khorne
now this will be interesting!

dont stress Ali. it happens when you buy older 9915 seires subs second hand. Recone kits for the older seires subs phil might not have them in stock sometimes and when ya need a recone he might have to send away and wait for those soft parts to come in. it happens though when buying older model stuff of anything not just subs.

good example my 1993 barina they stopped manufacturing parts for them around 1996. so if i need a part it is hard to find trust me 2 gear box seals were fun enough, suzuki and holden didnt stock them, until i found a good bearing place that stocked basically the same seal. not exact but same size different thickness.

but go buy a brand new barina and need parts ya will get them easily.

its the same with the subs. older Models parts are not as easy to come buy. thats all. but dont stress. it will definately be worth the wait i assure you. the 99's will hammer.
DW_1
but they are brand spanking new :s

2 are sitting in the boxes and the other 2 were waiting VC's to be assembled

i been told the parts were here weeks ago so just dunno whats going on

but hey SPL dynamics have reached our shores smile.gif
DD Phil
If you want brand new 9915s you could have them tomorrow, but at $2000ea

I'm building a pair to match old model ones that Doran has in stock. It's not a normal woofer order and I doubt you're paying any where near $8000 for the four.
