My handles on my VS wagon used to rattle to. You can try getting some stick on rubber/foam thats thick enough to get under the handle. It helps a little bit but there still there.

hahaha..
must be a common problem with the commodores, as mine used to rattle when i had my previous setup in there.. im dreading the time i fire the IDMAX up..
out of the whole car, only 3 things rattle.. the bumper, numberlate (altho slightly and fixable) and then damn handles.. :/
i was told sponge is the way to go, gotta try it when i pull the trims off to do the inserts..

I'm guessing that the handles use a spring to bring the handle close again after you open the door right? If so mabey this spring is a little week from factory and could be upgraded to a stronger one? Only result should be a firmer door hangle when it comes to open in and it not being so seceptible to vibrations. I'm speaking from ass here but it could be something to check?

stronger spring, or a bit of sticky foam tape in the mech. will help it to 'nestle' into place more snug.
I wish it was warmer, my fingers are ceasing up

shave the handles off and get remote operated solenoids to open the doors

or silicone bead the edges of ONE of two surfaces that contact.
make sure it cures when they arent contacting.
voila. Silicone surround on one of the surfaces absorbs vibration. May be difficult to make it look neat.

The VN's had plastic handles where as the VR/VS's use metal handles.
Go buy some VN handles in the same colour from the wreckers if your worried.

must be a VR/VS thing... I have a VN, and dont have that issue. knowing the inside of the door, I reckon some thin foam and bend the standard spring a little to give a firmer hold.

I just thought that then i read your post
My VN has no problems with the handles but just about everything else rattles, used to have numberplate problems, but they got fixed with some 6mm rubber behind it.

Silvr6, how did you stop the rear garnish vibrating to hell?
