anyone here know how to set this POS up?

i have been searching the net to get some idea on how to get it working, you would think microsoft would have some sort of help file on it : (
all they have is what it does.

same as everyone else, i know what it does and i want to use it.

is there anyone that can help me??

(i have server 2008. OKI printer hooked up to a Vista machine, access the server via a terminal window, no drivers for the OKI printer for 2008, need TSEP so i can print from out database thats located on the server)

Fudd, what part is failing? Is it not allowing you to add the driver as the OKI one doesn't exist? Is it picking up the Model as Terminal Server Easy Print?

This page has some good info (Although you have probably been through all this)

(pages 2 and 3 are also not bad)

its allowing me to add a driver, just not letting me add the terminal services one :s
Sigmeister
Is your Vista Machine SP1?

It also appears that it needs to be switched on in group policy.

ok had another play yesterday, the only way it will let me add a print driver is by browsing for it. wont let me use the easy print one.

as for changing the group policy settings, how do i get there? i have looked and looked for what is says in what you posted there but i cant find it :S

nothing i have read from MS or anywhere else can give an easy to read, straight to the point step by step guide.
all of them have plenty of info on how it works, but not how to implement it :s

oh the vista machine is SP1
(i also had problems yesterday with that machine, word wouldnt load, outlook wouldnt print, just crash.. even after deleting them and re-installing. had to roll back to sunday to get it to work)

Sorry I still haven't quite got my 2008 test environment up and running. Hopefully in the next few days.

As for policy, you can check it using the resultant set of policy snap in in an MMC window.
Start => Run
MMC
File => Add\remove snap in
Add
Resultant set of policy
Right click and generate RSoP data

This should allow you to browse the GP settings and it should also tell you what GPO is setting it. Then you can modify the GPO accordingly.

i just noticed that the snapon wasnt installed :s

doing that now smile.gif

ok loaded the snap in.
but it's telling me i have have to log in with a domain user account.
i have admin rights and ihave loged in with the admin sign in and it still wont let me play sad.gif
