Hey guys, just had an auto electrician fix some wiring up in my Toyota Supra which contains an Mongoose M80 alarm but in the process he has turned off all the sounds to my alarm and I have no idea how to re-enable the sound. The manual is of no help as it says seek advice from your installer.

Cheers

It may sound silly, but he probably turned it off with the little silver key you should have, at the siren under the bonnet if he had to disconnect the battery to work on the electrics

Hey mate, I checked that, usually if that switch is set to the off position you can't start the car because it locks the immobiliser.

does the rest of the alarm work as it should? With the siren turned off you should still be able to start the car like normal by pressing the remote button to disarm the engine cuts, it should only turn off the battery back up siren not lock on the immobiliser. The other thing he may have done somehow is in program mode is turn off sound, which would be hard to do by accident cause you have to turn key on/off/on/off etc and press remote button to do it. He could have blown output wire to the siren, doubt that though

when i had my M80 and turn the siren off it did not turn the imobiliser on it just turned the siren off.

Don't know where you heard that load of BS unknw.gif . As above, the siren has been turned off by the key to disable the battery back-up from kicking in when the battery is disconnected.

Pull of the little rubber cap, insert and turn the key 1/4 turn clockwise(From memory) and it will be good to go.

Thanks guys, yeah I should of tried that at first, but before I sent it to the auto electrician if the marker was turned in the "off" position, I could not start the car, but now I can. Don't know if that's a good thing or not. Immobiliser and alarm still works so I guess it doesn't really matter.
