Hey guys just on the hunt for a new amp.... Discovered these today, I've heard a few good things about them... Are the power figures they claim close to the money?? Are there any regular issues with these??
Cheers

i'd guess so there not claiming to higher figures so they seem believable
i dont like they way they claim "Max power" like 4x65watss max 4x260watts *makes wankin actions*

what amp are you taking the SPA7000x
heard they are way under what rated, believe George had 2 of them, and swapped them out for 2 rockford amps

i had 2 strapped and couldnt handle the load so went for an epsilon 5000D at the time and was perfect
was meant to be able to handle the load then but just couldnt handle a 1 ohm load strapped
but i cant speak for other amps of their range i just wanst happy with them the way i needed them to be set up

Jason ran my 2 7000x at .5 ohm daily for 4 month they are a strong amp but they need a good battery I never ran the 2 in the seca but one and 2 Pioneer 10" spls did 148.8db at 1 ohm.

Yeah the 7000 is what i was looking at.... even if it only delivers half of what they say it seams to be a strong amp... You say it's heavy on the battery george?? what sort of thing would i need to run in street b?? 2150??

an Optima D31 or a Oyssey 2150 would be best and a few good runs of 0awg cable as well to feed that power to the amp.

3200 watts rms at 12.5 volt 1 ohm
4000 at 14.4 volt 1 ohm
5000 at 16 volt 1 ohm
6000 at 18 volt 1 ohm
The 2150 is ideal

Leo has the most experience with these amps that I know of.
Perhaps he can weigh in, given the number of amps he's used in various cars?

What do you mean by that ....i'm not an amp hog lol
But on another note these amps aren't bad at all as long as you have a good battery and lots of cable good numbers can be produced it just takes time to set them up on their sweet spot

I run one and have another that someone blew up and I bought cheap but it's properly f***ed :<
Have run it at 0.75 ohms for 'daily' with a single large battery.
Seem like nice strong amps. Meant to be good for 0.5 ohm burps and 0.25 ohms if you roll the volume.

Well perhaps you can offer some clues into their performance versus other "known" amps.
Perhaps George too, pretty sure he has numbers compared to RF T2000 and AT 5000s?

Well i know that in Tara's car we use to run 2 of the 7000s doing 147-148 then when the rules changed we dropped back to 1 Schneider and the score went up to 148-149 but still couldn't get that 150 out of the 2 little tens then we changed to z1a and shock horrior 150db so compaired to a z1a they dont really compare they get a little unstable @ .25 compared to the z1a which can be paused burped @ .25 where the Schneider amp had to be scrolled.I believe when we clamped the z1a it pulled 690 amps ( correct me if i'm wrong Phil) but i know that the Schneider was a very power hungry amp but not as hungry as an E-audio 3000d but thats another story.

So all in all not a bad amp?? 0.5ohms would be the lowest load to pause burp these things??

when we ran these amps @ .5 we could pause burp them
but @ .25 you would need to scroll
