Looking at getting a Python 872 LE alarm. Was wondering what my possibilities for the outputs are? As in what are some cool features I can use with it?

Also, anyone here have one fitted that can comment on it a bit?

I have an aux output of my Python 900 hooked up to my horn, it's set to pulse 0.5 sec, just as a gimmick to scare the poo out of people.

You can control just about anything of those outputs... headlights (good for lighting up the area around your car when it's dark), window rollup modules, boot release, sound system power, anything you really want.

You can set the outputs to behave any way you want, to pulse for a certain amount of time, toggle on/off, to pulse for as long as you hold the remote button down, etc.

Use your imagination! smile.gif

Jm3 as mentioned here the options are endless. In conjunction with additional relays etc you can turn neons on or off, windows up and down, remote start etc. What kind of car is it and what did you have in mind?

Awesome. I definately want to hook up the horn. Probably set it so it to trigger for as long as I hold it down. I'd be interested to know about using it to power your sound system and if there are any ways to control the headunit.

Basically just want remote start but since it's got all these outputs I may aswell put them to use smile.gif It's just a basic family hatch so I don't have neons or spotties or anything sad.gif

Anyone know of anything that someone else has done that was unique or seemed handy to have?

Also, I have got to get one of those pink responder remotes for the lady. She'd love that smile.gif

Mine even opens my fuel flap, pops the back glass on the 4x4 tailgate ..... possibilities are endless!

I know of one that puts a convertible roof up/down. kinda cool.
Alaskan Aussie
I've been installing Vipers for awhile now and I swear by them. The new Viper Responder LE 5701 (Is that available in Australia yet?) is an INSANE alarm/remote start. It has no fancy LCD screen but it responds via leds and tones on the keyfob. Struth, here in Alaska if the weather drops below 0c and I autostart the car it automatically switches on my heated seats, heated steering wheel, rear demister and my windshield wiper de-icer. I can then check my cabin temperature via the keyfob and see if my car is still a refrigerator.....oh yeah, it also obviously turns on my climate control. But also, I have a nasty habit of leaving my stereo cranked when I switch off the car....well, it doesn't power that up until I put the key in the ignition.

Some other things it does...I can program it to automatically start the car up if my voltage falls below a certain point or themperature reaches a certain point. Pretty neat eh? I no longer worry about my battery state when I'm at BBQs and my car is the stereo.

Can you tell I'm a fan of Viper?
