Hey, i noe this isnt really car audio related, so im not sure if it goes in this section (mods, please move to appropriate section if this is not correct)

essentially, someone or something scratched my car, all down the side, about 1m in length on the rear driver door and the rear right wheel arch. Down the door is on a 'strip' which was painted plastic, but the scratch was down to the black plastic. on arches, it was just light scratches, barely through the top coat.

Im looking for solutions to this. Pretty much, i bought this car a few months ago with my hard earnt money, being a full time uni student, i really had to bust my arse to get the money. So i would really like to fix it up.

The damages honestly arent that bad, i was wondering if toyota sell a spray paint to match the colour and gloss of the car. it is just a white camry (plenty around). if not, is there a DIY way to do it?

Does anyone noe rough quotes on how much it will cost to do it professionally?

I think it was either done by a trolley or by me hitting something, but i doubt it was the latter without me denting the car (scratches are deep)

Probably best to take it to a 'touch-up' specialist. The damage on the moulding wouldn't be hard to paint match, but the guard might give you some grief.

Call out one of those mobile touch up guys, They do some great work and they dont cost to much either, I had a scratch double the size of that and they got rid of it for $50.

So really i should be able to get rid of it for less than $100?

is it worth me doing it myself or just get a pro to do it?
KGB
Pro. If that scuffing on the arches is light you might be able to cut it back and buff it yourself but then again you might do more harm than good.

For $100 or less, you'd get FAR superior results from a pro IMO, and with zero effort.

Does anyone noe someone or a company in perth that does this kinda stuff?

what would i need to look up? 'auto paint touch ups'?
beastvs
Google, "Duco Magic" They have done some great work on my commodore.

If you run your finger nail over it and can feel a groove, then it is too deep for buffing out.

beastvs
It wouldn't be much more than a couple of hundred.

I doubt that. I got 2 doors and a guard resprayed with some minor dints taken out for $300. If $200 doesn't fix this, you are getting ripped off.

If you dont want a perfect finish go to supercheap and get some touch up paint to match the colour code of your car. Works really well for stone chips and the like.
