Hi guys,

At the moment I am looking into getting a GPS unit for my wife, having looked through all the ranges and considered the features we want to have we've narrowed it down to two units - the Tomtom GO720 and Garmin nuvi760.

There's precious little between them in terms of price and features, so I think it will come down to others' experiences in terms of ease of use, backup service, reliability, etc. About the only real difference I can find is that the Garmin uses Whereis maps and Tomtom uses Sensis, is that correct? Also, does anyone know if they both use sirf III chipsets? I haven't been able to dig that info up myself.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

I find the tomtom really easy to use, especially over Navmans. But you arent comparing those two tongue.gif
