Ok i replaced my pioneer 300w rms amp with a 2060w rms amp. So i went out and got a 0gauge wiring kit that splits into 2x4ga im running a cheap sub i borrowed off my dads mate till i get a box for mine. Its a blapunk 15" overdrive 500w rms. I hooked it all up and voltage drop is alot less now even though im using more power the thicker cable and better ground helped.

Only problem is now my speakers get a louder buzz and goes louder when i put foot on the accel. I use a Pioneer 9650 headunit and have read that pioneer hu's have these sort of problems. Is there anything else i should try before replacing it with a better unit? The 9650 is a great unit has the mic to do all the auto timming all the freq controls but the whine is annoying.

Any ideas would be great.

your fronts amped???

if so, double check the ground for that amp

generally, the noise that increases with revs is a ground loop issue

also, do a search for teh pioneer fuse/buzz issue

there is a few threads with remedies on how to fix it
Stone
Yeah, since you have that head unit, i'd say it'd be the RCA fuse inside it has blown. Best thing to do would be to get if fixed by Pioneer as they'll fix it permanently.

Yeah Stone's got the idea, you probably plugged in/unplugged the RCAs before you took out the power from the amp.

Pioneer units are bad for the earth tracks going in them, in my experience with them.

Fronts and Back are amped off a Pioneer 4ch. With my RF Hu it had none so im guessing it is the HU. I will google some remedys if i can't do nothing then i will get Pioneer to deal with it biggrin.gif Cheers for that.

edit: Having no luck so far finding anything on it (Probably not searching the right thing) Anyone direct me to one of these remedy threads lol? cheers.
