heyy guys just lookin for some guidance for my latest install.

i have recently purchased a pioneer premier ts-w3001d4 which is 1000w rms and 300w max and a kenwood 1800w max-900+w rms monoblock to power the monster.

i have run into 2 issues which i require assistance with
first-i cannot find a box that fits the monster soo could someone give me some advise as to an adequate box to build...

and secondlyy im having problems with big bass hits which cause the other amp to cut out at times..does this mean i need a larger cap???

thankss

If an amp is cutting out then I dont think a cap will help you. Most likely something is not wired correctly or your amp is not very good. Check that the power and ground wires have good solid connections.

What size wire are you using? 8awg, 4awg???

Ensure that your impedance matches your amps minimum impedance or higher. From the looks of it you are running a dual 4 ohm sub on that Kenwood amp. Is this correct? I am not sure as you said "big bass hits which cause the other amp to cut out at times". What do you mean by "other" amp? Are you talking about this Kenwood or is there another amp in the picture?

as for boxes, you could always mount the sub inverted if you can't fit the depth into the recommended box size.
TERRA Operative
Make sure the wire from the chassis to the battery is at least as thick in cross sectional area as your feed to your amps.

yeah ur not wrong i just fiddled around and iv found that the circuit beaker im using is playin up soo it must go!
but to answer your qu. im running an 4awg cable. both power and ground at the moment. the sub is a dual 4 ohm setup however i have wired it in parralel to drop the impedence..also my amp is almost totally gained out...shud this change even if it is stable at 1 ohm?

by the other amp i mean the speaker driver which cuts out at times however i think iv overcome this problem.

I still have no idea what you mean by "other amp". Your posts are very unclear and difficult to understand.
You could always ask the retailer you bought the gear from, although I'm guessing you bought this "monster" off the net?

Also, the pioneer specs suggest a 22L sealed enclosure, which is tiny and would be difficult to fit the sub in. Remeber that the box size will be the 22L PLUS the displacement of the woofer (ie the space the magnet etc takes up).
