i've recently purchased a setup of two subs, 2 amps, slits up the front and components in the rear... im getting it installed by a mate that's a auto electrician.... after installation is there a certain way to "run-in" the system or is it a must????
just looking for any info on the topic as i have no idea about it. cheers

Depends. Some gear sounds noticably better to some users after being run in, mostly higher end stuff. If its cheap to mid-range gear most people won't notice any difference. There are many different ways to run in speakers, most people just play music at normal moderate volumes and give it the time it needs, some people run full range noise through the system for X hrs etc.
Note that there is more to installing than jjst wiring up the electrical aspects, speakers (especially splits) need to be mounted and installed properly to sound their best and amps need to be tuned/set etc.

just dont thrash it for the first few hours to let things loosen up abit and then it will be fine.
