I have spent the last 2 years on a computer with 10Gb of hard drive and 128 Mb of ram so this thing is pure luxury.

Stats:
3 core processor (they didn't have quad core in stock sad.gif )
4 Gb ram
250Gb hard drive
19 widescreen LCD monitor
Wireless keyboard + mouse
On vista home premium (no drama's yet)

I'm still kind of setting it up but i do love it.

I do have one question though. When running itunes, i have signal coming through realtek audio manager but not out of any of the audio sockets.

Any help would be appreciated (other than those that tell me to get rid of vista and itunes) laugh.gif

I'm not too hooked up with vista, but get past the Volume mixer and check your audio output config. Some Mobo's have assignable tasks for the audio outs eg Speaker Front can also be Line-in.
Pulse-R
that's it
sometimes it uses the 7+8 output as the main output also (SL/SR) orange socket

well i unplugged the computer to move it, and now it works. maybe some software had to be installed...

very happy now

Auto sensing outputs maybe?
enzo
auto-sensing would have been it, it took me a second to stop and figure out what was actually going on one time lol

those cases aren't bad, i built my brothers computer into one. just keep an eye on the rear fan and that its screwed in quite tightly because i noticed his got a bit loud (vibrating)

good to hear its all going well

and come on, where're the internal shots? tongue.gif
Sir-Psycho-Sexy
Yeah i figured out it has auto sensing output's but i swear i tried the same port before... anyway...

my cousin built it, so no internal shots tongue.gifp

thanks for the warning enzo

FYI he put in an extra 4" fan in there too. it is kinda loud.

Im guessing you mean 120mm? PC fans are measured in mm or cm but usually mm. Decent system anything is better than your old one though for fella lol. If you don't mind how much did it cost you?

Only thing i would of done differently would be getting a Dual core Intel instead (is still faster than AMD Triple or Quad for same money.
Sir-Psycho-Sexy
MSY prices, so, $630 for the computer plus $200 for the screen.

thats interesting about the dual core, I wanted as many cores as possible in the hope that it would mean not being out dated so easily

Yeh see it isn't all to do with how many cores or how many ghz it is. It is mostly about the architecture. A 2.4ghz E6600 Dual core would smash a 3.6ghz Dual Core P4 easily. Why because of the architecture. Im not saying you have a bad system far from it but you could of gone a better route same money better performance and better upgrade ability.
