Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a Mongoose M60S, mainly for the immobiliser, but I'd like to link it up with the central locking as well. The current locking kit that I've got installed at the moment (remote) is a no name after market version. It does the job, but I have sod all info on it. The only details I have are here (bought the kit from this guy about 6 months ago).

Anyway, the Mongoose site doesn't give a lot of info on what locking systems it's compatible with. The only information is If your vehicle has central locking*, this model can provide keyless entry - just press the remote button and your doors lock or unlock! * Note: Some Vehicles require additional parts at extra cost to enable this feature to operate.

Does anyone know any more about the M60S and which systems it's compatible with? I also have a Black Widow central locking kit (not keyless) under the house that has the ability to be expanded for use with a remote. Again, not a lot of info (product code BW510), but maybe this would be compatible with the Mongoose (can post pics of the Black Widow kit if that helps)? Maybe I could replace the current remote kit with the Black Widow, then add the Mongoose to make it keyless?

Any thoughts appreciated,

you should be able to hook up any aftermarket lock to the M60. Not sure about the M60, never use them but the M80 has a locking plug with Blue and green wires which go to the motors(lock and unlock) which you will have to work out on the motors, do they 2 or 5 wires? Orange and purple go to 12V and brown and white to earth. doing it this way wont unlock all doors off key barrel though just with the remotes. Hope this helps a little as i am not sure of the m60 but i assume they are simillar to the Mx20 and M80 other Mongoose alarms

should be in the car security section
