I picked up my car today from FHRX, Marty tuned it a bit but I still gotta take it back to be tuned to my liking.

1st thing I noticed is the soundstage is hektic with the right CDs.
Me and my cousin listened to it properly and we turned off the sub and cranked the ZRs and they vibrated the mirrors!
(This was surprising to us because my cousin would send all the midbass to the subs for backyard installs)

I just went through my dads CD collection of classical and some other genres(which I would never otherwise listen to), 1st CD looked like it would be good quality but wasnt, then I put in Elvis Presley's greatest hits and it was as though I had a band sitting on my dash, they recorded it so Elvis was on the right and the band was on the left, its soooo good listening to music with DTA, I think im gonna haveto buy a 2nd hand low end DTA deck for my run around.
And one thing which I was really hoping for is the DTA has 3 presets so I can have it set to driver, passenger or neutral, which is gonna save me a lot of explaining and musical chairs.

This is a forum man, I dont think it should just be questions and answers, its called socialising.

I would imagine people who are considering buying the same deck or splits as mine might be interested to ask me questions, I know when I was deciding on a deck I would of liked to come across a similar thread to ask some questions about the DDX8032BT but couldn't find anyone who owned one.

Does this explain it?

I agree.

hmmm..someone posted about a new music system they've had installed in their car and they're really really pleased with the outcome. so much so they want to tell us all about it, and how having a great setup can help you enjoy the music so much more.

They even got a massive kick out of listening to stuff they would have NEVER otherwise listened to before (doesnt even matter one bit what that music is), and have learnt something about acoustics, sound and installing along the way.

They're also using a combination of equipment that most of us have never heard, and providing a bit of a review along with it.

Exactly. And to those who have nothing better to do but think that their own opinions and knowledge make them above reading that sort of stuff, then F_ O_ and let the rest of us enjoy the music.

Either that, or explain to me why we're all here in the first place.

I'm sorry, but what is this post meant to achieve? What is a more useful post, one that involves an informative review of a product that before we read it we knew nothing about or a random, pissy post just thrown in to stir the sh*tpot?
Get over yourself mate.

To MaFi0s0, it's good to see that your happy with your new gear. Enjoy it smile.gif

Thanks, I am just running in the speakers now.
Its been on the RTA and I just tuned the EQ as it was a bit flat but very clear non the less.
I have nudged up 4kHz, 16kHz and dropped down 650Hz.
My car was absorbing 650Hz and there was still a dip at +9db but I have it at about +3db now and its much better, +9 was way too much despite what the RTA said I think.

Have you messed around with the crossovers? I spent the day at FHRX finishing off my system and after trying tweeter levels and different midrange settings, I have settled on the right driver midrange precense on 4 and the left one on the stock setting of 3.
