Just want to make sure, that the wires with the stripe in the rear speakers in the R34 GTR are the negative?

I always thought striped was negative, but what through me off was when I was about to install the rockford speakers, they have the striped on their positive, so I just hope its an American thing!

But all the jap cars I have done, and when I buy sony or pioneer speakers for example, all their negatives have stripes too, so I hope Rockford had it the other way around for some reason.

it doesnt really matter. as long as they are all done in the same way so none are out of phase with each other.

'Generally' speaking, black, grey or white trace stripes are negative, red stripes are positive however.
