One of my JVC 6 x 9's has recently decided to stop working properly so im looking at an affordable new pair of 6 x 9's below the $100 mark.

I saw supercheap have the Sony XSGTX6940S 4 way 440w's down quite a bit to $100 but i've heard some bad things about Sony, that they don't last and arn't as good quality? Then theres the Kenwood KFC-M6932A 350W for $80, I'm getting them tomorow as i'm fed up with waiting and Supercheap and JB hifi are the easier to get to for mine

So which should i buy? or any suggestions of better speakers around the same price range?

What is the rest of your system? Either way, I doubt one will be much better then the other, so I'd go whichever is cheaper really.

listen to both in the soundboard and let ur ears decide....at <$100 its not a great deal of money and there's not going to be a whole lot of difference in the performance of either

No matter how cheap they need to be - NEVER buy speakers with plastic tweeters....

Do the Sony 4-ways HAVE plastic tweeters? Aint they the ones that look like mini-tweeters, but aren't connected to anything at all??
